This unique herb is part of the carrot family but doesn't grow underground. Fennel has a sweet licorice flavor that can be enjoyed raw, sautéed, braised, roasted, or grilled. Simply slice up the bulb and add it to one of our salads for an added licorice crunch. Don't forget to save those fronds. The frilly green pairs nicely with fish or make it into a pesto.
