Share Price - $5.25/lb based on "Hanging Weight"
Deposit for a HALF HOG - $200
Deposit for WHOLE HOG - $400
You are placing a NON-REFUNDABLE deposit for a HALF OR WHOLE HOG share. This deposit will be credited to your final invoice once your share has been processed.
You will be charged now for a 50% deposit based on the share size you select and an estimated 200 lb (100 lb for half share) hanging weight. After processing you will be invoiced for the remaining cost of the pork based on actual hanging weight and this payment is due prior to pick up to us, Mizuna Gardens.
The last fee you'll pay is the butchering fees. The hog will be processed by USDA inspected Jacobsmuhlen's Meats and you will pay them directly for their costs. There is a flat cut and wrap fee of $1 per pound (hanging weight) plus whatever additional add ons you want, such as cured/smoked bacon, cured hams, and sausage. This is how the butchers are paid, and you'll pay these fees when you pick up your meat.
